Congratulations to Sloup #60 winner, U. City Roots!
U. City Roots (Episode 1: “What’s in my own yard?”) is “a youth-led, youth-driven community TV show about sustainability, cooking & entrepreneurship ‘rooted’ in University City and pushing out into the broader metropolitan area.” Check out their full proposal here.
We had a delicious time slurping not one, but TWO amazing soups from Robust® Wine Bar at the awesomely fun Industrious Office in downtown St. Louis. Thanks to these generous sponsors, we’re able to give 100% of the event proceeds to U. City Roots.
! ! ! ! IMPORTANT NOTE ! ! ! !
We now take our “holiday break” for the annual CONDENSED SLOUP, our Sloup for Sloup. That’s right: We mush together our November and December Sloup events into one, über-fun CONDENSED SLOUP to raise a little cash to keep our program going year-round. Sloup charges its normal $10 to get in, but this time it’s to support Sloup itself, so we can keep supporting your grassroots projects without taking any money from the monthly pot. Save the date December 6 to chow down at our annual fundraiser for Sloup. We will commence normal Sloup events (and take your creative proposals!) in January 2016.
